As the Minister of Skill Development, Dharmendra Pradhan will focus on strengthening the skilling efforts of the Ministry and equipping the youth with the skills required to prepare them for future work and creating a link between skills and employability.

 

Following  cabinet reshuffle, Dharmendra Pradhan took over as the Cabinet Minister in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka took over as the Minister of State (MoS) of the Ministry of Skill Development. and entrepreneurship.

 

Former Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey was also present on the occasion and he congratulated both the ministers on taking charge.

 

Dharmendra Pradhan said that he is committed to strengthen the skilling efforts of the Ministry and equip the youth with the necessary skills to prepare them for future work and create a link between skill and employability. He also conveyed his best wishes to Rajiv Chandrashekhar on taking over as the Minister of State and said that he looks forward to working together to promote entrepreneurship and fulfill Indian Prime Minister’s vision of making India the skill capital of the world.

 

Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Speaking on his appointment that he has the privilege and honor to serve as MoS in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, he will be committed and work hard on Prime Minister's vision of Digital, Efficient and New India.

 

Skilling has been a major priority for India for over a decade and with the rapidly changing job demand after the pandemic, it has become more important than ever. How the two newly appointed leaders re-imagine the skilling strategy for the country and what new initiatives they launch is to be seen.
